B.Ed. Shikhsa Shastri (one year)

Shiksha Shakstri B.Ed is meant for candidates who have Sanskrit background and are desirous of persuing bachelor of Education Programme (B.Ed) on Full time basis becoming teacher at Secondary and Senior Senior Secondary School level.

Elgibility for Shiksha Shastri B.Ed. Shiksha Shastri

A person who has passed Shastri (3 year) or B.A. with Sanskrit or M.A.(Sanskrit) Examination from this University or an Examination from this recognized by this University as equivalent thereto, with at least 50 % marks in the aggregate.


(i)            There shall be no rounding of percentage of marks of the qualifying examination from 0.5% and above to next higher number for determining the eligibility ie. 49.5% and above will not rounded of to 50%.
(ii)        Minimum pass marks for SC/ST Candidates.
(iii)         45% marks for blind/physically handicapped and visually impaired candidates.


  1. Application for admissions to B.Ed. Shiksha Shastri will be made on the prescribed form attached at the end of the prospectus.
  2. The criterion for selection of candidate is strictly on the basis of Merit of qualifying Examination.
  3. Merit List will be prepared by the committee of teachers constituted by the principal .
  4. Merit will be decided on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in qualifying examination. However in case of equal percentage the candidate senior in age will be given preference.
  5. Finalization of admissions from the Merit list will be given preference.
  6. Candidates of merit list are required to bring all the certificates and testimonials in original on the date of admissions.
  7. The selected candidates have to deposit the fees on the date of admissions.
  8. The deposited amount will not deposit his/her due on the prescribed date of admissions.
  9. If selected candidate does not deposit his/her due on the prescribed date, the seat will be filled up by the next candidate in order of merit.
