Diploma in Education (D.Ed)

Total Sanctioned Seats: 100


  • The admission will be open to bonafide residents of Haryana only.
  • The minimum Education Qualification for admission to these course is as follows:-
    • Diploma- in-Education (D.Ed)          
  •  A candidate should have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) examination from Board of school Education Haryana. Bhiwani or its equivalent, securing 50% marks for General category and 45% for SC and BC category in aggregate with five subjects including English as one of the subjects passed.
  •  Passed Hindi/Sanskrit subject in Matriculation Examination.


The Merit List will purely be prepared on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in 10+2 examination streetwise (Arts, Science, Commerce & Vocational) and distribution of seats will be as under:-

1.         If the seats in Science stream remain vacant, these will be converted into Commerce Stream and vice versa.
2.         If in all three-stream(Science, Commerce and Vocational Educational) seats remain Vacant, these will be converted into Arts Stream stream seats.

Stream Subjects: (Required Five subjects)

  1. Science -  English (compulsory) and at least any three out of the following subjects:- Physics,  Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Computer Science, Bio- Technology, Agriculture.
  2. Commerce – English (compulsory) and at least any three out of the following subjects :- Business Studies, Commerce, Accoountancy, Enterpreneurship, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science.
  3. Arts – English (compulsory) and at least any three out of the following subjects :-
    1. Poltical Science 2. Public Administration 3. History 4. Ecomomics 5. Mathematics 6. Geography 7. Sanskrit/Urdu/Punjabi 8. Home Science 9. Sociology 10. Fine Arts 11. Physical Education 12. Music 13.Psychology 14. Hindi 15. Philosphy 16. Dance 17. Agriculture, 18. Military Science 19. Computer Science
  4. Vocational – English (compulsory) and all other basic subjects in Vocational Institutes Affiliated  by the Board of School Education Haryana Bhiwani or any Technical approved by Technical Education Department Haryana or its equivalent.


The candidates are advised to apply for stream as per their subject combination in Senior Secondary examination.

Self Financed Institutions Fees

Fees for Self Finance Institutions in the state of Haryana are Rs. 18400/-(Rs. Eighteen Thousand Four Hundred Only) annually excluding actual examination fees prescribed by the examination body.


Internship may be for a stipulated time defined by the Education Department of Haryana State.


Reservation in different categories will be made as per Haryana Govt. Instructions issued form time to time. 50% of the seats shall be reserved for the candidates of the following reserved categories:-


i) Scheduled Castes :               (SC)                             20%
ii) Backward Classes:              27%                            
Block – A                               (BCA)                         16%
Block - B                                (BCB)                         11%
(Except socially advanced
Persons/section i.e. creamy layer)
iii)      Physically Handicapped (Ortho)                         03%


In case the quota reserved for physically handicapped remains unutilized due to non availability of suitable handicapped candidates, it will be offered to the ex – servicemen (Self) and their wards (1%) and the dependents of freedom fighters (1%) Further it has been decided to allow 3% horizontal reservation to Ex-servicemen (Self), freedom fighters and their dependents by providing reservation within reservation of 1% of General category 1% out of scheduled castes and 1% from backwards class’s category for admission to the various education institutions of the Government and Government aided/self financing colleges/institutes located in Haryana
